Universal Joint Bearing Description

 

Structure Universal joint consists of spider(cross) and 4 grease-filled roller bearings. It can transmit large torque at low friction. Spider with journal pegs and bearing cases as outer ring were hot forged or cold formed and machined. They are later carburized in furnace so that increased ruggedness and wear resistance are obtained. Parts are finally ground to designed size under severe tolerance. Oil seal as well as dust cover are also in use to protect internal journal area from intrusion of foreign material. Variety of grades and materials are selected to respond to extreme conditions such as very hot / very cold temperatures.

Universal Joint Bearing Delivery

 

1 Frequently check the sealing conditions of the intermediate support bearings, cross shaft bearings, and sliding splines, and replace the failed oil seals in time. Grease is often injected. In order to make the bearings of the universal joint fully lubricated, the lubricant must be squeezed out from the oil seal of each bearing. Lubricate the middle support bearing, which should be extruded from the vent hole of the front bearing cover;
2 Frequently check the connecting bolts that fasten the drive shaft and support various parts;
3 Frequently check the diameter of the intermediate support bearing, the axial clearance, the axial clearance of the cross shaft, the clearance between the cross shaft and the bearing, the bearing and the universal joint fork hole, and the circumferential clearance of the sliding spline pair;
4 Check whether the transmission shaft is bent, dented, and whether the balance sheet falls off;
5 Check whether the positioning of the engine, rear axle (drive axle) and intermediate support beam meets the standard
