Electroplated bond diamond wheel is a diamond abrasive wheel where diamond grains are plated onto the wheel surface (electrodeposition, often a thin nickel/metal layer). This is typically a single-layer / monolayer style: the diamonds are exposed at the surface, so the wheel cuts aggressively from the start. For graphite rough grinding, this type is commonly used because graphite is soft relative to diamond, but it is messy (fine dust/swarf) and can be “grabby” and loading-prone with some abrasive systems.
