Electroplated diamond mounted points are small rotary grinding tools (mounted points/rotary burr-like shapes) in which a single, dense layer of diamond crystals is electrodeposited (usually nickel-based) onto a shaped metal shank or head. The metal shank is sized to fit standard die grinders, flex shafts, or bench rotary tools.Shapes: common shapes include cones, cylinders, spheres, tapered points, bullet shapes, and wheels — selected to reach contours, holes, slots and profiles.Construction: a steel or brass shank with a machined head that is plated with a monolayer of diamond grit fixed in a metal matrix. The plating exposes sharp diamond edges at the surface for immediate cutting.

Electroplating places diamond grit directly on the surface so abrasives are fully exposed and highly effective from first use. There is little or no binder matrix above the grit, so cutting is aggressive and precise.
Typical sizes are small diameters (1–20 mm head) and shank lengths for hand-held/bench use.
