It has high mechanical strength chemical stability, and strong resistance against acid, alkali.Because PVC (polyvinyl chloride molecule) contains many chlorine,it has a good flame retardant. PVC is not soluble in water, alcohol and petrol.It has a good electric insulation.Therefore it is usually produced to be insulating layer of wire and cable.
