1mm: This is the outer diameter (O.D.) of the entire cable. This is an extremely fine and delicate size. It allows for tight bending radii, fast thermal response, and installation in very confined spaces, but offers less mechanical robustness and lower total power output per unit length compared to larger diameters.
Single Core: Contains one central conductor. This is the standard construction for a heating element cable. The circuit is completed by grounding/connecting the metal sheath at the far end, or by returning a second, separate cable.
Mineral Insulated: The conductor is centrally positioned within a seamless metal tube and surrounded by highly compacted Magnesium Oxide (MgO). This provides excellent electrical insulation, superior thermal conductivity (for efficient heat transfer to the sheath), and structural stability at high temperatures.
Heating Cable: The primary function is to generate heat through resistive (Joule) heating when a voltage is applied, not to measure temperature (like a thermocouple). It acts as a robust, integrated heating element.
