ground.

Leaching:
The
ore

leached

sulfuric
acid

reducing
agent

fuel

coal

natural
gas).
This
reduction
converts
the
Mn⁴⁺
in
MnO₂
to
soluble
Mn²⁺,

a
manganese
sulfate
(MnSO₄)
