The processing technology of molybdenum-copper alloy mainly includes casting, forging, heat treatment, machining and surface treatment.
The first is the casting process. Molybdenum-copper alloy is usually produced by vacuum self-melting smelting technology, and the melting temperature and vacuum degree are controlled to ensure the uniform composition and stable quality of molybdenum-copper alloy. During the casting process, the cooling rate and grain size of the alloy need to be controlled to ensure that the internal structure of the product is uniform and dense.
The second is the forging process. The forging of molybdenum-copper alloy can be carried out by conventional cold forging, hot forging, isostatic pressing and other methods. Hot forging is the main method of processing molybdenum-copper alloy. By controlling the heating temperature and holding time, the alloy has good plasticity within a certain temperature range and is easy to form. During the forging process, the heating speed, forging speed and forging pressure need to be properly handled to ensure the forming quality and mechanical properties of the product.
Then comes the heat treatment process. The heat treatment process of molybdenum-copper alloy mainly includes two stages: solution treatment and aging treatment. Solution treatment is to heat the alloy to a certain temperature and keep it warm for a certain period of time to dissolve the solid solution and precipitation phase in the alloy and adjust the structure and properties of the alloy. Aging treatment is based on the solid solution alloy, by controlling the heating time and temperature, so that the precipitation phase is re-condensed and the structure changes, and the mechanical properties and heat resistance of the alloy are further improved.
Then comes the machining process. The machining of molybdenum-copper alloy includes turning, milling, drilling, grinding and other processes. During the machining process, it is necessary to select appropriate tools, cutting parameters and coolants to ensure the machining accuracy and surface quality of the product. At the same time, it is also necessary to pay attention to controlling the machining temperature to avoid oxidation or discoloration of the alloy surface due to high temperature.
