Description
It is used in steelmaking as a deoxidizer, desulfurizer, degasser, and alloying agent. As an alloy element incorporated into the steel during the steelmaking process, it refines the grain structure, fixes interstitial elements (C, N), and improves the strength of the steel. The deoxidizing ability of titanium is much higher than that of silicon and manganese, which can reduce steel ingot segregation, improve the quality of the ingots, and increase the yield of finished materials.
