Application:
To produce ferrosilicon, ferrosilicon is generally produced in a submerged arc furnace, and then the ferrosilicon and barium-containing raw materials are added to the intermediate frequency furnace.
Since the produced product undergoes two steps of smelting, the power consumption is high. The furnace mainly uses barite, silica, coke, steel scraps, and silicon carbide. The electricity consumption required for smelting is very large, and the electricity consumption for producing one ton of ferrosilicon is 14,000 kilowatt hours.
