The operation of self-cleaning filters is based on a simple concept: when pressure in the screen filter is below the permitted level, the cylinder screen allows fluid to pass while filtering out impurities. Once the pressure surpasses the limit, the flow is reversed for backwash. During this process, deposits on the screen surface are washed off and exit the filter via a discharge valve.
Uses for the drum Screen basket
Typical uses for the drum screen basket include mid and large size filtration equipment, including standard self-cleaning filters, rotary drum screens, rotor blade self-cleaning filters, and rotary fine-grate filters, rotary drum filters with a fine grate, rotary drum screens and other liquid / solid separation equipment. Any vibration filter, fine screening system or rotary drum filters requires the use of wedge wire cylinder screens.
