Introduction
The
downhole
motor
is
a
downhole
dynamic
drilling
tool
powered
by
drilling
fluid.
The
mud
flow
enters
the
motor
through
the
bypass
valve
from
the
outlet
of
the
mud
pump. These
fluids
produce
pressure
loss
at
the
inlet
and
outlet
of
the
pump,
drive
the
rotor
to
rotate,
and
transmit
torque
and
speed
to
the
drill
bit.
The
performance
of
the
downhole
motor
mainly
depends
on
its
performance
parameters.
