1. Identify Ends: Determine the male-threaded end (shorter threaded portion) and the female-threaded end (longer portion with internal threads).
2. Install Male Thread: Screw the male thread into a pre-tapped hole in the chassis, base PCB, or a threaded insert. Use a 6mm hex wrench to tighten securely. Avoid over-torquing to prevent damaging the threads or the standoff.
3. Stack Components: Place the board or component that needs to be spaced over the installed standoff, aligning its mounting hole with the standoff's female thread.
4. Secure Assembly: Insert a M4 machine screw (sold separately) through the component and into the female thread of the standoff. Tighten the screw to secure the assembly firmly.
5. (Optional) Stacking: For additional height, another standoff can be screwed into the female thread of the first one.
