Works

Feed
&
Preheat:
Metered
feed
enters
the
preheater
and
first-effect
heater.

Effect
1:
Live
steam
heats
the
first
effect;
generated
vapor
becomes
the
heating
medium
for
Effect
2.

Effects
2–N:
Each
subsequent
effect
runs
at
lower
pressure/temperature,
using
the
previous
effect’s
vapor
for
boiling.

Condensation
&
Recovery:
Final
vapors
condense
in
the
condenser;
clean
condensate

Non-condensables

removed
by
the
vacuum
