The decanter centrifuge is mainly composed of a high-speed rotating bowl, a discharge screw with the same rotation direction as the bowl with a slightly higher or lower speed than the bowl, and a differential speed that ensures that the bowl and the screw maintain a stable rotation speed difference. It is composed of parts such as differential, hood, frame, motors and so on.

Working principle

When the suspension to be separated passes through the centrifuge feed tube, enters the inner chamber of the screw conveyor, is accelerated by the acceleration cone, flows out from the discharge port, flows to the inner wall of the bowl, and enters the centrifuge bowl, the high-speed rotating bowl produces with strong centrifugal force, the suspension forms an annular liquid flow in the bowl. The centrifugal force causes the solid particles in the suspension with a higher density than the liquid phase to quickly settle to the inner wall of the bowl to form a sediment ring layer. Due to the different rotation speeds of the screw and the bowl, there is a relative movement between the two (that is, the difference in speed). The solid phase deposited on the inner wall of the bowl is pushed to the drying zone at the small end of the bowl by the relative motion of the screw and the vowl for further dehydration, and then sent through the small end of the slag outlet for clarification. The clear liquid is continuously discharged from the overflow hole at the large end of the centrifuge, and the liquid phase overflow radius is controlled by the regulating plate.
