Full-Auto Measurement For Both Right And Left Eye Data Without Manual Switch Non Contact Tonometer​

 

Non-contact tonometer (NCT) has been gradually recognized and accepted by more and more patients because of its advantages such as simple operation, rapid measurement, automatic printing of test results, no direct contact with the eyeball, no superficial anesthesia, and no pain for patients.

The principle is to use a controlled air stream to quickly flatten the center of the cornea. In order to measure the flattened area of the cornea, the instrument sends a directional light beam to the cornea at the same time, and the reflected light beam is received by a photocell. When the diameter of the central flattening area of the cornea reaches 3.6mm, the amount of reflected light reaches the maximum of the photocell, and the airflow pressure at this time is the measured intraocular pressure. Since the measurement is instantaneous intraocular pressure, it should be measured multiple times to take the average value to reduce the error. Its advantage is that the examination time is short, avoiding the possibility of cross-infection caused by tonometer contact with the cornea, can be used for screening and surface anesthetic allergy. The intraocular pressure was measured within 60mmHg.

Auto tonometer utilizes image control and feature recognition for auto 3-D positioning of xyz with reliable judgment and measurement results, and easy to operate. The air non-contact approach to measure IOP can also be used for corneal thickness (ST-1000P).
