Product Description
The GE IS220PHRAH1B serves as the core system component, featuring a main processor and redundant Ethernet drivers for network I/O communication, plus additional Ethernet drivers for network control. The main processor and I/O utilize the QNX® real-time multitasking operating system. Application software is provided in a configurable control block language and stored in non-volatile memory, conforming to the IEEE-854 32-bit floating-point format.
IONet is a dedicated full-duplex point-to-point protocol that provides deterministic, high-speed 100MB communication for local or remote I/O with fiber optic interfaces. This facilitates communication between the main processor and network I/O blocks (called I/O packets), with 100MB Ethernet used for communication with both local and remote I/O packets.
