Maintenance and Inspection Guidelines
To ensure safe use, daily inspections are essential. Replace the air spring if any abnormalities are found during inspection.
- Confirm that the upper and lower panels and waist ring are correctly positioned. Pay special attention to the waist ring; applying pressure when it is misaligned or detached can cause the air spring to break.
- Remove any foreign matter, oil, or chemicals from the air spring.
- If lubricating oil gets into the air spring's bellows, clean it immediately and periodically wash the inside of the rubber bladder with water.
- Confirm that the supply pressure is appropriate. Abnormalities are common in the piping and should not be ignored.
- Replace the air bag in the following situations: Cracks, damage, or wear extending to the fabric layer appear on the outer rubber layer. Abnormal deformation of the air suspension, resulting in localized expansion. Even without external damage, delamination can sometimes occur due to air accumulation within the rubber layer and the skeleton layer. Oil, chemicals, and heat can cause expansion and hardening of the rubber surface.
- Corrosion of the upper and lower panels and waist ring can damage the air bellows spring. If corrosion occurs, the part should be replaced.
