The Introduction of Air Spring
An air suspension increases the air-carrying capacity of a truck and trailer by leveling the entire suspension for better roadholding. The air spring is also infinitely adjustable, allowing the driver to choose a softer ride for cruising on the highway or a firmer ride for improved handling on challenging roads. When hauling heavy loads, the air spring assembly provides better stability and keeps all wheels in place. The air actuator can help keep the truck level laterally, especially when the load is difficult to level. This reduces body roll when cornering and turning.
