Lab Created Diamonds Description

Synthetic diamond cultivation methods mainly include HPHT high pressure and high temperature method and CVD chemical vapor deposition method, and the cultivation time is about half a month to one month. 1) HPHT high pressure and high temperature method: Pure toner is compressed into a growth capsule and then placed in a culture chamber. At extremely high temperature (up to 1300-1600°C) and pressure, carbon atoms are joined together to form diamond crystals. It takes about two weeks to grow large diamond rough particles of more than 10 carats. 2) CVD chemical vapor deposition method: a diamond sheet is placed in a hollow chamber, which is filled with a mixture of hydrogen and methane and heated to vaporization under a specific pressure. Carbon atoms are deposited layer by layer on the sheet to form a uniform diamond coating. It takes nearly a month to grow a cut 1-carat CVD diamond crystal.

From a scientific point of view, cultivated diamonds are exactly the same as natural diamonds, the only difference being where they are formed.

Prospect Of Lab Created Diamonds

1. More and more recognized by the market

Cultivated diamonds have appeared in the global jewelry consumer market from 2012 to 2015, but the product quality is poor and the price advantage is not obvious. International jewelry giant cultivating diamond jewelry market, overlay the federal trade commission (FTC) for factors such as diamond justify promote cultivation, breeding diamonds in industry organization to establish, specification development, synthesis and evaluation technology promotion, production scale and market share increase obvious progress, The cultivation of diamonds is recognized by the public.

2, more consistent with the trend of environmental protection

Cultivating diamonds has only one-seventh the environmental impact of mining them. In terms of surface environment, the impact of diamond cultivation on surface environment is only 1/1,281 of that of diamond mining. In terms of carbon emissions, cultivating diamonds is only one and a half billion times less than natural diamonds. In terms of water resources, growing diamonds uses only 6.9 billion times less water than natural diamonds. In terms of energy, the energy consumption of cultivating diamond is only 1/2.1 of that of natural diamond. In general, the cultivation of diamonds is in line with the promotion of the concept of sustainable development in the current society, and more in line with the pursuit of low-carbon and environmentally friendly lifestyle of the young generation of consumers.
