Two types
Gear pump: With a simple structure, low cost, and strong anti pollution ability, but with large flow pulsation and high noise, it is mostly used in small excavators or auxiliary systems.
Piston pump: with complex structure and high cost, but high working pressure, large flow rate, high efficiency, and high control accuracy, it is widely used in medium and large excavators.
Working principle
Oil suction process: The plunger moves backwards, the pump chamber volume increases, forming a vacuum, and the hydraulic oil in the oil tank enters the pump chamber under atmospheric pressure.
Oil pressure process: The plunger moves forward, the pump chamber volume decreases, the hydraulic oil is compressed, the pressure increases, the oil outlet valve is pushed open, and high-pressure oil enters the hydraulic system.

Displacement: The volume of oil discharged by the pump shaft per revolution determines the working speed and force of the excavator.
Pressure: The pressure of the oil at the pump outlet determines the working capacity of the excavator.
