Risk of patient injury due to flow measurement failure
Improper reprocessing and contamination (e.g. sediment or particles) can damage flow sensors:

• No machine cleaning or disinfection
• No need for plasma sterilization or radiation sterilization
• No water jets, compressed air, brushes, etc
• No ultrasonic bath
• No hot steam sterilization
• When disinfect the flow sensor, use only a clean disinfectant solution.

1. Prepare the cleaning solution in a covered container according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Immerse the flow sensor in the cleaning solution, being careful not to introduce bubbles. Swirl the flow sensor vigorously in the cleaning solution at least three times at the beginning and end of the contact time. Make sure the cleaning solution penetrates all surfaces and interior spaces.
3. Rinse the flow sensor thoroughly in a sink filled with water of at least drinking water quality until no detergent remains.
